Mother Daughter

I am so blessed to have met so many wonderful people through photography.  This beautiful women is no exception.  Christina took a mentoring with me last year before she moved to Hawaii.  She came back for the summer to visit family and we just had to get together to do a shoot.  


This photo to me is beautiful in every way.  It brings me to a place where I realize what being a mother is.  It's about protecting your children, holding them when they need it and allowing them to rely on you. 


This image says all those things to me.  It says that she trusts her momma to not let her go.  It says that she is safe in her moms arms through the cold waters.  It says that she will always protect her baby and never allow the coldness to touch her.  It says that the bond between mother and daughter is strong and like the current swift.
